Benchmarks and test facilities of VVER reactors
Šimek, Ondřej ; Foral, Štěpán (referee) ; Vojáčková, Jitka (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to describe the topic of benchmarks and test facilities for pressurized water reactors of the eastern concept VVER type. The theoretical part introduces the VVER type reactors, their history, the development of separate generations, including fundamental differences and parameters of the VVER type reactors being used so far. Next two chapters of the theoretical part focus on nuclear safety and security, describing the uppermost Czech authorities, which are SÚJB, MAAE and NEA. Furthermore, many terms concerning nuclear safety are explained in these two chapters. The next chapter is focused on deterministic safety analyzes, their classification, methods and purposes. The aim of this part is also to explain the verification and validation of computing codes. The next chapter offers insight into test facilities which are crucial for evaluation and testing of nuclear devices and computing codes. The last chapter of the theoretical part focuses on the VVER type reactor benchmarks. The practical part of this thesis presents the conversion of a single AER Benchmark FCM_001 using neutron physical code PARCS. The results are compared to the results of CRONOS computing code.
Performance Evaluation of Graphics Accelerator
Vanek, Juraj ; Drábek, Vladimír (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
My work is about performance evaluation of graphics accelerator by 3D scenes rendering. It focuses on how to test the performance of the accelerator from every point of view during the performance critical operations in 3D graphics. It deals with implementation problems of individual measures, their influence on total results and evaluation of the measurements. The final output of the application is a score, by which is possible to judge what performance is giving the accelerator in comparison with others. For this comparison is available an on-line results database.
Scripting Language on the Java Platform
Genserek, Michal ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Kočí, Radek (advisor)
This thesis aims at JSR223 compliant scripting languages on the Java platform including a description of the application interface that is part of the specification. The thesis also discusses possible problems resulting from using the scripting languages on the Java platform including possible solutions of this problems. Description of the languages Python, Ruby, JavaScript, Groovy and Clojure including eventual differences between this languages' different implementations is also included in the thesis. The thesis also contains a set of tests for comparing described languages' performance. The results of this comparison including results for different Java virtual machines are also included in the thesis. Tool for benchmarking of the scripting languages under the JSR223 application interface was developed as part of the thesis.
Performance Benchmark for Smart TV Platforms, Set-Top Boxes and Game Consoles
Assisted Code Vectorization and Parallelization Using the OpenMP 4.0 Standard
Slouka, Lukáš ; Nikl, Vojtěch (referee) ; Jaroš, Jiří (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor's thesis is code optimization using the OpenMP 4.0 standard which provides tools for assisted parallelization and vectorization. In addition to the descrip tion of the OpenMP 4.0 standard, the thesis as well contains an insight into architectures of modern computers, specifically the system of cache memories and SSE/AVX modules that play a major role in the optimization field. The thesis demonstrates advantages of optimized code compared to unoptimized version on a set of benchmarks which are aimed at various aspects of optimization.
Performance Evaluation of Graphics Accelerator
Dvořák, Milan ; Šolony, Marek (referee) ; Jošth, Radovan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with a performance evaluation of graphics accelerators. Properties of the current graphics accelerators and existing solutions for evaluating their performance are summarized. An own methodology for performance evaluation is proposed and the implementation of an OpenGL aplication with GLUT and GLEW libraries is described. In the last part, several graphic cards are tested, the influence of various factors is examined, and the measured results are discussed.
The Students themselves - Student Center Poříčí
Zouharová, Jana ; Lazarov, Pavel (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Jan (advisor)
Buildings layout volume concludes the missing part of a city block. Its volume segmentation reinforces the corner position and constitutes an important landmark. Fully complies with the program and offers additional features. The mass effect of the building reacts facade construction details can be a solution. The building responds to its appearance near the river and the lush greenery that surrounded her. The richness of detail of the surrounding buildings and the organic platform near the river, calls for a more daring solution to their surroundings will lift.
Analyses of Returns of IPO´s in the Czech Capital Market
Vašíčková, Soňa ; Ing. Radek Schmied, Ph.D (referee) ; Meluzín, Tomáš (advisor)
My thesis deals with analyses of returns of IPO’s in the Czech capital market. The theoretical section of the thesis contains of circumscription of main terms and methodics for preparations and realizations of IPO. In the analytical section these theoretical findings are applied. This thesis should bring realistic view of returns of IPO’s for investors and evaluate present trends on IPO market.
Security Hardening of Windows Server 2016
Křiváková, Hana ; Biječek, Richard (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the security hardening of Windows systems for servers. In this thesis, the theory is applied on Windows Server 2016 operating system. There are described individual steps one should take to increase network security. The entire project is set in the environment of unnamed multinational company.
Modern Programming Language Julia
Fojtík, Pavel ; Grochol, David (referee) ; Nikl, Vojtěch (advisor)
This work describes dynamic programming language Julia. Firstly, user is introduced to syntax and implementation of this language. Next there are advices for writing effective code and his optimalization. Also some examples of using Julia in scientific projects are described. Comparison between Julia, C and Python is in experimental part. Python and C were chosen as examples of statically and dynamically typed languages.
